Brunch For Dinner.
My brother has been talking up this place for a long while now. He said that the spot is cheap and the food was above average. When I sat down, I didn't look over the menu. I checked for the chef's specials and ordered from there. I have to say that the ingredients were impressive.
We started with the calamari and what was great about it was the battered pepperoncini. It reminded me of deep fried pickles but less intense.
Tentacles!
The second course was the [variety]mushroom bisque. It tasted like turkey gravy. I am NOT putting the dish down but I'm sure the chef would take offense to that statement. They should serve a side of turkey strips with it hahaha.
I order any mussel dish on a menu 9 times out of 10. I have not been disappointed yet. If a chef messes up mussels... they should quit the profession.
Bacon broth.... Mmmmmm.
Brio's mussels are too good. The best part is sopping the bread in the broth as an ender. I am soo hungry now. Ugh!
